It is almost Amy Bear’s bedtime, and she probably knows it. But, like any other child, Amy is not ready to settle down for the night. It is summer and even the sun gets to stay up later as it casts a golden glow into Amy’s room. The birds are just beginning their goodnight songs, and Amy wants to dance – to swirl through the evening shadows as the lightning bugs and the earliest stars twinkle, welcoming the coming darkness.
No amount of coaxing by Amy’s mother can bring the wonderfully happy dancing bear to leave the enchanting twilight ballroom she imagines, until something happens that finally makes Amy realize how late it really is……
